I remember Haeley and Jason’s engagement session, we had a short window to work with with them both being students at WSU.
It was overcast and rained off and on and was pretty cold, that never stopped Jason and Haeley from smiling and just living in the moment. We talked about the plans for their wedding, and how excited they both are to share the day will all there loved ones.
“I have come to accept the bumpy roads of life; they seem to lead to the best places.” – Steve Maraboli
It was a beautiful winter day for Chi and Saurav engagement session. The light was filtered through the trees and everything had so much color. Saurav is so funny and had us laughing for so much of the session.
We chatted about their upcoming wedding in India and the planning of their home reception to share with family and friends when they returned.
Spending time with Claire and Jeff is never dull, the days are always full of laughs and jokes. When you meet them you can see they are best friends and every aspect of their lives is an adventure. And may of their adventures has brought them to Lake Wenatchee in the Plaines area.
Side note this was Claire’s exit dress and the band she wore in her hair on their wedding date at Pine River Ranch last July.
Alondra and Dom showed us some of their favorite spots along their walking trail. We all had so much fun laughing and enjoying the simple calm of the beautiful nature along the trail. We finished our session along the beach with a perfect made driftwood shelter and the cool salty air that came crashing in from the waves.
We chatted more about ideas and details for wedding inspiration and things they are excited about and things that they might be concerned about.
Engagement sessions are some of our favorites, we get a better opportunity to see their relationship and personality and see what works with photo posing style for wedding.
We’re all a little weird. And life is a little weird. And when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall into mutually satisfying weirdness – and call it love – true love.
Nicole and Leon’s engagement session was a great one once we made it through the multiple re-schedules. Everytime we thought we found the perfect evening for a sunrise rain would appear in the forcast. We got lucky on this beautful day at Kayak Point park, Leon and Nicole salsa danced while the gorgeous light set a beautiful glow all around them. We talked about the elopement they wear planning in the fall at alki beach and had lots of laughs while Nicole tried not to step on Leons toes.
It’s not often you meet people that grew up in Skykomish so when Marissa suggested doing Anna and her engagement photo’s in where my husband James also grew it was going to be a good time. It was so good to see the town and hear the memories that Marissa had that sounded similar to stories I had heard before. The small town of colored pastel-colored houses where everybody knows their neighbor proved to be the perfect setting to document their love story.
We got luck with a beautiful day at Scenic Beach State Park documeting Paige and Will's engagement photo. I feel in love with the rich color of the trees and the light beeze that moved along the beach. We loved the idea of keeping with the simple theme of small and simple for their Intimate Port Gamble Pavilion wedding in July.
