Congratulations on your engagement
Now is the time to sit down and decide what you want and don’t want for your wedding.
Planning can get overwhelming a tip I give is to take one thing at a time. You can be easily overwhelmed in planning a wedding without a full-time wedding coordinator. But once you select the date and venue, the rest will fall into place.
Think about the three most important things to you, and work on those next—whether it’s the photography, dress, food, music, florals, etc. Make a list and slowly cross things off as you go.
Our Crazy Bunch
Here is a little about who we are.
James and I have been married since 2009, we are a Husband and Wife wedding and portrait photography team. This is my (Stephanie) full-time job and I love what I do the crazy schedules I wouldn’t have it any other way!
When we are not shooting weddings or portraits, we are spending our time with our kids before they are at that age where they refuse to be seen with us. Tiarra and Cameron are 19 and think they have this adulting thing figured out wish they would pass on some advice, but heck what teenager doesn’t, we also have a 12-year-old son Jayden who I might add thinks he will be a world-famous Youtuber, our pug Serene thinks she is really a human and in charge, she loves all things cheeseburgers, coffee, and doorbells. So long story short we run a wild bunch so weddings are a cakewalk to the crazy zoo we run at home. We love our Seahawk’s and our idea of a perfect Sunday is watching our favorite sports team with our pug and fighting her for at least a nibble of the snacks.
If we can give you one word of advice for your wedding it would be “Together” each and every wedding is different, there is no right or wrong way for it. You just need to remember that it is your day to do it in a way that will make you both happy.
I am a huge multi-tasker, that is one of the reasons I love weddings endless amount of things to do.
I get butterfly’s the moment before the couple sees each other the 1st time on the wedding day (shh Don’t tell I’m kinda a huge softy even though I might seem cool as a cucumber)
James will mix all his food together when he eats, yet if certain food of mine touches I won’t eat it.
Dutch Bro’s is my go-to for Coffee, I’m always open to trying something new but normally comes down to I like what I like lol
- James loves Mayonnaise and would coat it on anything especially Bologna.
- I love mini marshmallows there just little puffs of happiness.
- one of my favorite editing snacks
What It looks like when we do what we love!
As you can see we will do anything for the shot if it means laying on the ground,
showing you the right way to stand or even getting on the house roof to get that perfect photo count us in we will do it.
We have a fun quirky love defining one another and have entire conversations with faces and eye movements. We make each other laugh and a lot of time making others around us laugh along with us. Our love isn’t perfect but it’s perfectly us.
We get one another.
James and I married at the Graceland Wedding Chapel in front of Elvis and everything.
It was an extraordinary day for both, but if my future self could have given my past wedding planning self advice, I would have. A great photographer would have been top of my list. We had so much emotion during our vows and none of it was captured. With us being in Las Vegas it would have been amazing to get some of the nightlife.
At the time of planning, we thought we will have some pictures, we never discussed a shot list or meeting with a photographer. Purchased images that were offered (almost $800) but everything was prom-like posed poorly lit snapshots. 🙁
Both of us would have had found a photographer to documents our day with our personality, character, that told our story.
