Set against the simple elegance of the Bainbridge Island Municipal Court, and followed by a peaceful, nature-filled photo session at Blakely Harbor Park, this day was a testament to love, heritage, and the quiet power of authenticity.
A Ceremony with Heart
The grooms chose a meaningful, minimalist civil ceremony at the Bainbridge Island Municipal Court, surrounded by a few close loved ones. The space was small but filled with love — every glance, every word, every vow was deeply felt.
What made this celebration even more unique? Both grooms wore traditional Scottish kilts, each styled with a matching sash and sporran (purse), honoring their shared cultural roots. The tartan patterns were bold, beautiful, and symbolic — a reminder that weddings are about showing up exactly as you are, in love and in tradition.
After the “I Do”
After the ceremony, we headed to Blakely Harbor Park for portraits. The shift from courthouse walls to open skies and lush greenery was perfect. The harbor’s calm water, tall trees, and rustic textures offered a romantic, natural backdrop that paired beautifully with the grooms’ formal kilts and heartfelt connection.
We captured laughter by the shoreline, quiet moments on the trail, and that unmistakable sparkle of “just married” joy. The way they looked at each other said everything.
