Welcoming baby Silas into the studio was such a joy. His newborn session in my downtown Everett studio was thoughtfully styled with the family’s love of succulents and all things green, creating a calm, earthy feel that suited him perfectly.
Silas slept so peacefully throughout most of his session, allowing us to capture those soft, curled-up poses that pass by far too quickly in these early days. We dressed him in a deep green outfit with a matching bonnet, which complemented the natural textures and tones the family loves. The setup felt organic and meaningful, reflecting not just a color palette, but a lifestyle and aesthetic that’s part of their home.
One of the most special details they brought along was a teddy bear from his nursery. It may seem simple, but pieces like this hold so much sentimental value. Including the teddy bear in his newborn portraits creates a beautiful marker of time—something they can revisit as Silas grows, seeing just how tiny he once was in comparison. These are the kinds of details that turn photos into lasting family stories.
Every newborn session is unique, and I love it when families incorporate personal touches like this. Whether it’s a favorite color, a meaningful object, or a theme inspired by their home, it makes the session that much more special and personal.
Silas, you are already so loved, and it was an honor to capture these first memories for your family.
