There’s something undeniably magical about a warm summer evening in Snohomish, Washington — the sun dipping low over the horizon, fields dotted with wildflowers, and the gentle hum of the river nearby. It was the perfect setting to document a sweet milestone for this growing family of three, soon to be four!
I had the absolute joy of photographing this maternity session as mom, dad, and their spirited little girl came together to celebrate the new chapter unfolding in their lives. With golden-hour light filtering through the trees and laughter echoing across the field, it was one of those sessions that felt easy, heartfelt, and full of love.
Mom wore a soft green dress that beautifully highlighted her baby bump, perfectly coordinated with her daughter’s matching dress — a subtle yet touching nod to the bond already forming between big sister and baby-to-be. Dad kept it classic and relaxed, with an arm lovingly wrapped around his growing family. You could feel their excitement, love, and connection in every moment.
One of my favorite parts of this session was capturing the way their daughter looked at her mom’s belly — curious, proud, and already so in love with her soon-to-arrive sibling. These quiet, in-between moments often turn out to be the most treasured, and this session was full of them.
