There’s something undeniably magical about newborn sessions — those tiny fingers, the softest skin, and the peaceful, sleepy expressions that melt your heart. Baby Matthew, just 10 days old, visited my cozy downtown Everett studio and completely stole the show.
Wrapped in the warmth of neutral tones and soft textures, Matthew drifted into a peaceful slumber almost instantly. His adorable little features, from those rosy cheeks to his perfectly pouty lips, were a dream to photograph. Dressed in a deep green sleeper for part of the session and later swaddled in the softest blue blanket, he looked like a tiny bundle of joy nestled in a world designed just for him.
Our studio space is intentionally styled to create a calm, inviting environment that’s both beautiful and baby-friendly. A textured jute rug, natural wood accents, and a palette of gentle earth tones created the perfect backdrop for Matthew’s photos. The vintage wooden bucket he snuggled into added an extra layer of charm and warmth — a timeless touch to commemorate his very first days in the world.
One of my favorite images from this session is Matthew curled up, dreaming sweetly with his cheek resting gently on a velvet pillow. The softness of the setup matched his serenity so perfectly — a peaceful moment frozen in time.
Newborn sessions like Matthew’s are not only about preserving how small they are but also about celebrating the newness of life and the overwhelming love that fills the room the moment they arrive. It was an absolute joy to capture these early memories for Matthew’s family.
